Personalisation Pilots - Individual budgets for entrenched rough sleepers

Throughout the last year personalisation pilots funded by the CLG have been taking place with entrenched rough sleepers around the country. Individual budgets (IB) have been allocated to work with entrenched rough sleepers to try and find new and creative solutions to thier long term homelessness. These individual budgets are being utilised with entrenched rough sleepers in a variety of ways to help resettle individuals with complex needs. To find out more about the individual pilots:

Examples of what Individual Budgets have been used for to support entrenched rough sleepers around the country:

  • Extra floating support services

    "What is working is spending quality time with each client, workers not having to dash off to meet other commitments, but being able to sit with a client and take the time to listen to what they say."

  • Modification to private rented accommodation, such as hand rails
  • B&B accommodation
  • Furniture - including soft furnishing to make things more homely
  • Electrical goods
  • Clothes

  • FE college courses
  • Caravan accommodation
