This guidance will help you to respond to homelessness in your local area. Developing a response requires a planned approach in order to: assess need, establish partnership working, choose the type of organisation, evaluate different models of provision, assess risk and practical requirements, and ensure you have the relevant training and expertise to run a service. This guidance takes you through these stages, and includes links to resources and support.
Guidance to promote and share good practice from across the homelessness sector, supporting local authorities develop strategies to end rough sleeping that involve the voluntary sector and local community.
Commissioned by DCLG and developed with the support of members to ensure it is strategically relevant and, most importantly, useful to organisations working to end homelessness.
