We are now at a stage of exciting change and growth and are looking for talented, professional and energetic trustees to complement the skills and expertise of the existing board members.

We are a small, ambitious, passionate and energetic housing charity targeting income growth over the next five years and beyond. We want to secure additional premises for move-on and expand the services we offer for rough sleepers and street homeless men and women.

Our Board
Our Board of Trustees is made up of highly experienced professionals who are committed to the development and advancement of our organisation, including strengthening our governance structure.  We appointed four trustees in the last 18 months. The WFCNS Board is looking to achieve decisive outcomes for our beneficiaries over the next five years.

Who we are looking for
We are looking for people with specific experience in one of the areas of marketing, fundraising or finance.  Candidates will be strategic thinkers. If you can bring relevant business insight with a charity heart, then you may be who we are looking for.  The trustee’s role is voluntary and unpaid.  We will reimburse reasonable expenses.

Time Commitment
The WFCNS Board meets every 2 months. Trustees will be required to commit to 6 Board meetings a year and adopt additional areas of responsibility such as providing skilled support and guidance to the executive team in your area of expertise. Board meetings are held in the evenings, on Tuesdays, at 6.30 p.m. at our Branches Hostel premises on Forest Road, E17. We hold an away day once a year for the Board to discuss long-term strategic issues outside of the boardroom.

If you have the expertise, commitment and energy we are looking for please send your CV to theoffice@wfcbranches.org.uk  (maximum 2 A4 pages) and a short statement of not more than 600 words on why you want to be a trustee and what you would bring to the WFCNS Board. Please insert ‘Trustee Interest’ in the subject tab.

We are looking to appoint two trustees at the board meeting on 31st January 2019. However, we will shortlist sooner if we receive suitable application of interest and will contact you within 2 weeks of receiving your application.
