Places of Change are services for homeless people that rebuild lives. In this section you can find information and resources about making hostels, day centres and other services Places of Change.
The Places of Change Programme is led by the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA). The Programme aims to encourage homelessness agencies to focus on moving service users forward. This includes improving their access to meaningful occupation and training and employment opportunities. The four key elements to a Places of Change project are:
The HCA has provided £80 million of capital funding in the current programme. However, it is possible to become a Place of Change without capital investment.
