Homeless Link coordinates a Policy Forum which aims to improve the quality, co-ordination, relevance and impact of policy in the homelessness sector. The Forum is open to members of Homeless Link and meets on a quarterly basis. Members share information on their proposed and ongoing policy to improve sectoral collaboration.
The Policy Forum meets quarterly. However, meetings are responsive to consultations and other policy developments, and as such are not held to a schedule. Homeless Link contacts members when a Policy Forum is planned.
We regularly host external speakers from government departments and member agencies. Members are invited to share their ideas for the agenda and we encourage all to use the meetings to discuss policy developments which impact on homeless people. Themes of recent meetings include:
"I find meetings extremely helpful. Even though I receive updates from different websites (our organisation) sometimes misses out on hearing about things as we're not based in London...this meeting helps to keep up-to-date" (member from the south east).
Forum meetings are open to all Homeless Link members with an interest in homelessness policy, however, because of space limitations, we can usually only accept one representative per member organization. Why not get in touch and come to the next meeting?
