The Sport for All project aims to enable homelessness services to develop and deliver opportunities for sport. Physical activity has been shown to be instrumental for individuals moving towards independent living. Sports activities create meaningful pathways into education, training and employment as well as build confidence, skills and important social networks.

Homeless Link is undertaking a three year project, funded by the Football Foundation and the London Housing Foundation to increase access to sport for homeless people in a sustainable way.

The Sport for All project will offer frontline agency workers valuable support, guidance and opportunities to increase access to sport and its benefits for their clients.

Get involved

  • Share an example of good practice in offering sport within homelessness services
  • Register your interest to receive support from our Sports Project Officer in offering sporting activities in your agency
  • Ask for further information about the Aiming High: Sport for All project and ways to be involved.

Aiming High: Sport for All is one of the outstanding projects granted the London 2012 Inspire mark, the badge of the London 2012 Inspire programme which recognises exceptional and innovative projects inspired by the 2012 Games.
The Inspire programme is an opportunity for everyone to be a part of the London 2012 Games; a broad participation programme spanning sport participation, education, sustainability, volunteering and business opportunities & skills. New opportunities are being created to inspire young people and encourage for the whole of the UK to join in.
