Bedfordshire Community of Practice: Women and Homelessness

Tuesday, 2 March 2021
Online 11am - 1pm

Women’s homelessness is often under-reported and frequently linked to experiences of abuse. Let's explore what is in place across the county and how we work together to build capacity for gender and trauma-informed services.

You are invited to join our second online Bedforshire wide Community of Practice and join our conversation around how do we work together across sectors and agencies who have the power to change outcomes for women experiencing homelessness in Bedforshire.

Guest speaker: Jan De-Vyott, Keystage Housing for an overview of the Women's Navigator Pilot scheme, findings and best practice.

During this event we will like to explore on current issues, trends and barriers. We recognise the challenges, will explore solutions and share good practice.

Communities of Practice are designed to bring together people working in homelessness and related fields within local areas. The aim is to create a safe and informal space in which attendees can share knowledge and good practice, discuss local issues and explore how best to collaboratively overcome them.

We facilitate events using a Solution Focused Practice approach so that problems are acknowledged but not dwelt on; instead, we look at building on existing resources and skills to work towards a shared, preferred future – as well as expanding knowledge where required.
