Who is this course for? 

Frontliine workers in services that are, or will be, delivering Housing First. 

What will you learn? 

This course will:

  • Build on basic knowledge of Housing First 
  • Fully explore the principles of Housing First and why they are important  
  • Help you to identify and utilise evidence-based practice for each principle 
  • Allow you to discuss the challenges in implementing the principles in practice, including ethical dilemmas that may arise 
  • Use research and theory relating to trauma and psychology to increase your understanding of service beneficiaries and why the principles are so effective 
  • Help you to understand what the principles look like in practice and the challenges of supporting people to move from being homeless to having a home 
  • Enable you to identify individual and team strengths and development areas for effectively delivering Housing First
  • Ensure you know where to go for more information.


This course consists of 3 live interactive training modules, which will take place during one day, with breaks. When you sign up, you will be signing up for all 3 modules.

We ask for a commitment from delegates to attend all 3 sessions. Sessions are not recorded, and slides will not be available until all 3 sessions have taken place.

Bookings for larger groups

This course is also available to be booked for staff teams of up to 20 people, to be delivered online "in-house" in live interactive sessions on dates to suit your organisation. This course can booked to be delivered in-person (subject to government advice).
