The successful candidate will work as part of the Single Homeless Prevention Service (SHPS) in Brent, managing and supporting a team of housing coaches alongside another team leader.

Crisis Skylight Brent is currently recruiting a Housing Team Leader to join an innovative service supporting those homeless or at risk of homelessness in Brent. The service is funded through the MHCLG’s Trailblazer programme and Brent Council and is delivered in partnership with Crisis Brent and the UK’s leading investor in Social Impact Bonds, Bridges. The project aims to work with a variety of statutory and voluntary organisations as well as a range of landlords to ensure beneficiaries receive timely and appropriate support to prevent and relief homelessness.

About the role

The role requires a strong background in people, performance and data management. SHPS is a payment by results service based on outcomes around client assessments, prevention and relief of homelessness and sustainment of accommodation. The role requires candidates to support the team with casework management, prepare contract monitoring information and ensure all client data and outcomes are accurate and of good quality. Team leaders will be supporting the progression manager in all aspects of project management. Candidates are expected to create effective relationships with a range of stakeholders including landlords to maximise opportunities for clients.

This post is being advertised on a 12 month fixed term basis, with the possibility of extension.
Knowledge/Skills and Experience:

About you

You will be able to demonstrate experience of managing people and achieving contract outcomes. The right person will need to communicate and advocate effectively. Your approach needs to be flexible and pro-active to provide a supportive and motivational environment and work with the team to deliver high quality, person-centred support and casework. The ideal candidate will be experienced in providing holistic support to positively work with people with a range of support needs.
