Groundswell’s award-winning Homeless Health Peer Advocacy (HHPA) project is looking for an Administrator to help us smoothly run a service supporting people who are homeless in London to get to over 3000 health engagements a year.

We are looking for someone very personable with an excellent phone manner, who can remain focused and friendly working in a busy and sometimes demanding environment. Working closely with the HHPA Systems Manager you will offer efficient, effective and proactive administrative support to the project, supporting our frontline staff and volunteers to do their vital work.

Getting the logistics behind HHPA right, is vital to operating a system where volunteers feel safe and supported, and partner homeless and health organisations trust us to get vulnerable people to important health appointments. The HHPA Administrator will often be the first point of contact for volunteers, and referrers, and we are looking for someone with excellent customer service skills who is used to dealing with queries from the public. You will possess a natural ability to think on your feet and find solutions to operational challenges. You will need a flexible, calm, proactive approach with a can-do attitude and be willing to develop within the role.

Key responsibilities include processing bookings, allocating work, checking frontline staff in and out of jobs, booking cabs; and supporting the HHPA Managers in all administrative matters relating to the day to day running of the service. The role requires someone who is hard-working and tenacious, can work on their own initiative, with excellent organisation and time management skills and who thrives in a busy yet small team environment. This role is particularly suited to someone looking to progress their career within the charity sector.

Normally you will be based in our office in Brixton, but currently the team are working remotely, and you will be given the support and equipment needed to make this possible. The post will support our work across London.

For a full summary of all duties and responsibilities, please refer to the job description included in the Job Pack attached.
