2020 has been a very difficult year for many; particularly for those already facing additional challenges in life. Homelessness services have stepped up to ensure the people they work with have been kept safe and supported during this unprecedented time. Whilst at Homeless Link we have made supporting our members through this a priority; adapting our ways of working and delivering grants, projects and events we hadn’t originally planned for.
This event recognised and celebrated the exceptional contributions these services have made during the Covid-19 pandemic and announced the winners of the Homeless Link Excellence awards. It also provided an opportunity for you to hear about Homeless Link’s work over the last year, where we have focused our attention and why. There was also a chance to ask us questions and get an insight into what we have planned for 2021.
The awards ceremony was be hosted by Homeless Link’s CEO Rick Henderson, we heard about the great practice that’s happening, celebrated with our winners, and heared from some very special guests.
This event was for everyone in the homelessness and supported housing sectors, those who were shortlisted for an award and their colleagues. We got together to see how far we have come this year, and recognise the hard work and achievements of the sector.
About the awards
Chosen from the Excellence awards shortlist, the winner of each award category will have their service filmed. This short film will then be shareable on social media, with funders and strategic partners to showcase their award winning work. They will also receive a trophy and a certificate. The runners up will each receive a certificate.
