Support for staff on making a claim for PIP when someone has a mental health condition, as well as myth-busting from the frontline.
Personal Independence Payments (PIP) and Mental Health
PIP is one of the most important benefits received by people with mental health problems. People will often need support making a claim to make the process as trouble-free as possible, and to ensure the best possible outcome.
Our guidance document offers advice and support to claimants with a mental health condition and their advisers. It offers positive suggestions about how to make a successful claim, and how to challenge erroneous decisions regarding PIP claims. There's also a PIP Mythbuster sharing insights from frontline staff at our Birmingham Community of Practice.
