Kent and Medway Community of Practice Online

Tuesday, 11 August 2020
Online | 2.00pm-3.30pm | Free

Homeless Link Communities of Practice are designed to bring together people working in homelessness and related fields within local areas. The aim is to create a safe and informal space in which attendees can share knowledge and good practice, discuss local issues and explore how best to collaboratively overcome them.

“Communities of practice are groups of people who share a concern or passion for something they do and learn how to do it better as they interact regularly.” (Wenger-Trayner, 2015)

During the time of COVID-19 we are all seeking to find the most effective methods to deliver services to ensure the people we support continue to receive the care they deserve. This will be a space to connect with other service providers from across Kent and Medway, to reflect on what has worked, the lessons you have learnt and what support and resources you feel you need to create a better future in a post COVID-19 world.

We will also take time to reflect on worker wellbeing during COVID-19.

We facilitate events using a Solution Focused approach so that problems are acknowledged but not dwelt on; instead, we look at building on existing resources and skills to work towards a shared, preferred future – as well as expanding knowledge where required. As this is an online event the format will vary however we will endeavour to leave you feeling positive, hopeful and better connected to the bigger picture.
