London | 12.00pm-4.00pm | Free event

Motivation is a great factor in supporting people out of homelessness. How do we inspire and motivate some of the most vulnerable people to do that?

Who is this event for?

Frontline workers from London’s hostels, night shelters and other supported accommodation settings.

What is the event about?

Climbing the ladder out of homelessness. Motivation is a great factor in supporting people out of homelessness. How do we inspire and motivate some of the most vulnerable people to do that?

  • What are the barriers and what are the opportunities?

  • How do we support people to take on those opportunities and take control in life changing decisions?

  • As workers, how do we keep motivated in working with people who are not motivated?

Change Please is hosting this event at their training academy in Peckham. We will get the chance to hear about the training opportunities and support available and see where the training is taking place!

A Community of Practice (CoP) brings together those with common interests and goals to collaboratively find solutions to the issues faced by frontline staff when supporting those experiencing homelessness and associated needs.

Through our CoPs we aim to:

  • Facilitate knowledge sharing and social learning between RSI coordinators

  • Provide a safe venue for people to listen, reflect and receive feedback

  • Allow people to hear about new evidence, learning and practice

  • Try out small changes that encourage innovation

Communities of Practice work by bringing together the considerable expertise and knowledge drawn from your daily experience in delivering your role. Through these we identify challenges, solutions and ensure that the knowledge is shared widely.

There is no charge to attend this event.
