A chance to hear from the Government about the new programme and the role you can play
The Ministry of Housing Communities and Local Government (MHCLG), together with Homeless Link and Housing Justice, are inviting you to this free webinar to find out more about the implementation of the Rough Sleeping Programme.
The new and expanded Government funding is aiming to make a rapid and visible change to rough sleeping and homelessness, ensuring there is an offer of a route off the streets for everyone by Christmas. The funding is being distributed via local government and Mayoral Authorities, but the voluntary, community and faith sectors (VCFS) will have an important role to play in implementation and delivery of the ambition set out by the Prime Minister.
At the webinar you will hear directly from MHCLG on what local authorities are expected to deliver and the role of the VCFS. They will also set out more detail on the Christmas ambition and longer-term expectations of the programme.
Homeless Link and Housing Justice will also present on the support that is available to VCFS both in terms of maintaining the quality of services and interventions and in supporting the workforce at the extremely busy time.
