Groundswell Homeless Health Peer Advocacy Service
Services offered
The Groundswell Homeless Health Peer Advocacy Service (HHPA) supports people experiencing homelessness to address physical and mental health issues. Work to improve people’s confidence in using health services and increase their ability to access healthcare independently. Accompany people who are homeless to their health appointments and advocate on their behalf to ensure they understand the information that is being given to them and can make informed choices about their treatment. Can cover travel costs to a reasonable level. Do not offer support to appointments with benefit agencies or housing appointments.
