Who do we help?

Single homeless people with drug or alcohol related problems with low support needs who are committed to becoming drug free and sober. Priority to those with a local connection.

Who we cannot help

Those with a history of arson or severe violence. People continuing to use drugs or alcohol.

How to get a referral

Referral agencies

Accept self referrals and referrals from any agency. Can accept referrals direct from prison.

Referral procedure

Phone Mon-Fri 9am-5pm. Interview considers applicant's commitment and ability to participate in the programme. If no vacancies, placed on waiting list. Will help with claiming benefits, and getting ID and funding.

Support and accommodation


Support offered

8 staff and volunteers. 1st stage - 24 hour cover. 2nd stage - Mon-Fri 8am-6pm, emergency on-call system. Keywork system with weekly meetings. 1st stage focuses on stabilising, including counselling, home detox by arrangement with GP, practical and emotional support, advice and advocacy. 2nd stage is a 12 week rehab therapy programme based on the 12-Step programme for which funding is required.
