Who do we help?

Young single homeless people aged 16-21. Referrals from outside the borough would normally have to show a local connection or have another valid reason why they may not remain in their own borough.

How to get a referral

Referral agencies

Accept self referrals and referrals from any agency. All applicants must be assessed by the Housing Advice Centre at the Millennium Centre. Out of hours referrals must come through Social Services.

Referral procedure

Phone hostel 24 hours daily or call in at Housing Advice Centre, Wesley House, Corporation Street, St Helens Mon-Fri 9am-5pm. All applicants must be assessed by Housing Advice Centre. Need proof of benefits entitlement/income.

Support and accommodation

Support offered

5 full time staff, 1 part time catering worker and relief workers, 24 hour sleep-in cover. Compulsory key worker system, with weekly meetings. Staff provide help with budgeting, paying bills, cooking, shopping, employment, training and developing independent living skills.
