Stonewall reported that 20 percent of LGBT women have experienced homelessness and 25% of trans people have experienced homelessness at some point in their lives (Stonewall, 2018). Homelessness services should seek to understand issues of sexuality and gender and the relationship to homelessness so that they can improve the support provided to women identify as LGBTQI+.
