What is the Pathways to Work Innovation Fund?
The Pathways to Work (PtW) Innovation Fund was announced by the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions in July 2026.
The PtW Innovation Fund has 2 objectives:
- to support disabled people and people with long-term health conditions move towards, enter, stay and progress in work
- to build evidence about what works and for whom, so that successful approaches can be adopted more widely.
Grant funding will be provided to test new and innovative ideas that support these aims.
What support is being provided to applicants?
The DWP is inviting organisations interested in applying to the Pathways to Work Innovation Fund to attend one of five in-person events across the UK.
The dates/times are as follows:
- Manchester: Monday 21st September, 10am-2pm
- Belfast: Wednesday 23rd September, 12pm-4pm
- Cardiff: Thursday 24th September, 12pm-4pm
- London: Monday 28th September, 10am-2pm
- Edinburgh: Friday 2nd October, 10am-2pm
What the events will cover:
- The purpose and objectives of the Fund
- Who can apply and the types of proposals the Fund is seeking
- The application process, key requirements and available support
- Opportunities to ask questions and hear questions raised by other prospective applicants
- Networking and discussion with other organisations interested in the Fund
- Refreshments will be provided.
Organisations are encouraged to register for a place as soon as possible as places are limited.
