As part of the National Workforce Programme, Homeless Link is leading a three-year recruitment campaign to encourage more people to build rewarding careers in the homelessness sector.

We know that the people working across our sector are our greatest asset. That's why we want to put their voices at the heart of this campaign by sharing authentic, inspiring stories that highlight the impact they make every day. While we won't shy away from the challenges of the work, we do want to celebrate the moments that make a career in homelessness so meaningful.

We're asking for your support in identifying staff members who would be willing to share their experiences.

We're looking for colleagues from across the sector who can talk about:

  • Why they chose to work in homelessness
  • What a typical day in their role looks like
  • The difference their work makes
  • What they would say to someone considering a career in the sector

Colleagues would be interviewed by a member of the Homeless Link team, and their story may be featured alongside photography or video across campaign materials, including our website, social media, posters, leaflets and other recruitment resources. Any content produced would be shared with participants for approval before publication.

We are keen to showcase the breadth of opportunities available across the homelessness sector and would particularly welcome stories from colleagues working in frontline roles, where recruitment challenges are often greatest.

By sharing the stories of your staff, you can help inspire the next generation of homelessness professionals and demonstrate the vital, life-changing work taking place across our sector every day.

If you would like to find out more, please contact Lara or Gemma, or nominate yourself/one of your colleagues via this form.
