Tim was street homeless for 20 years, punctuated by stays in two different hostels, before becoming a client of SHP's Islington Housing First service in 2020. His flat has changed his life and he now feels he has hope for the future.
These two videos document Tim's journey from sleeping rough and substance misuse, when he relied upon selling second hand items for cash, to stability in his own flat. He takes great pride in his home and has enjoyed making it comfortable and doing up the garden. He would eventually like to return to work as a builder with a van with his own name on the side.
