Trauma-informed care (TIC) is a relationship-based approach which can be adopted by organisations to improve awareness of trauma and its impact. TIC ensures that services offer effective support and, above all, that they do not re-traumatise those accessing or working in services.

Within supported housing services, we know there are high levels of evictions and abandonments. However, adapting practice by applying TIC can help individuals feel physically and psychologically safe in their home.

To demonstrate the impact of applying TIC within supported housing services, Homeless Link has created an exciting new animation, which will be premiered at this webinar.

During this webinar, you will:

  • Hear from the Centre for Homelessness Impact about their research into hostels and the importance of applying TIC
  • Be the first to view our new animation
  • Hear from supported housing services that have implemented trauma-informed practices and learn about the difference this has made
  • Have the opportunity to ask questions to the speakers.

Homeless Link is committed to equity, diversity and inclusion. We must recognise and value differences, as well as recognising and redressing inequality and inequity. We want to ensure our attendees are able to feel engaged by our content, so if you have any requirements regarding accessibility and more, please do not hesitate to get in touch with us and we will do our best to accommodate your requests.
