Who is the session for?
This free interactive session is aimed at frontline staff and managers working with young people (16-25) in supported accommodation/hostels. This might include both specialist and non-specialist youth provision.
What is the purpose of the session?
The transition from adolescence to adulthood is a critical period of change and development for everyone and it is important that practitioners and organisations can facilitate safe shifts into adulthood.
This session will briefly explore key concepts such as brain development, adultification and the window of tolerance. Attendees will leave with ideas on how to be more developmentally informed in their practice to better meet the needs of young people.
