Who do we help?

Young single homeless black women aged 16-25 with low-medium support needs. Must have a local connection to LB Haringey. Priority to those who have been in local authority care.

Who we cannot help

Those with drug or alcohol problems. Those with a history of serious violence.

How to get a referral

Referral agencies

Accept referrals from agencies on approved referral agencies list. Agencies can write to request to be added to list.

Referral procedure

Agencies are notified each time there is a vacancy. Referral form completed by agency and applicant. Interview.

Support and accommodation

Support offered

2 full time and 1 part time staff visit houses weekly. Compulsory keywork system. Initially meet residents once a week then fortnightly. Action plans with agreed outcomes, reviewed monthly. Staff offer one to one support on all aspects of life skills, budgeting, training, education and employment. Staff make referrals to external agencies as appropriate.
