akt - Digital Advice Service


Services offered

akt's Digital Services team supports LGBTQ+ young people aged 16 to 25 who are threatened with or experiencing homelessness, or living in a hostile environment. We cover the areas outside of akt's office regions and offer a remote, accessible service. Provide: Information, advice and guidance on LGBTQ+ youth homelessness and housing options. Remote casework including advocacy and support. Live chat. Online resources. Signposting and referrals to local and specialist services e.g. mental health, benefits, immigration. Financial support to find and secure accommodation. Support to explore education, employment and training opportunities. Digital Mentoring with a trained volunteer. Access to National Youth Engagement Programme.

The Digital Service covers the following regions. East Midlands, East of England, North West (everywhere except Greater Manchester) South East (everywhere except Greater London). West Midlands.
