How to get a referral
Referral agencies
Caritas Anchor House primarily accepts referrals from London Borough of Newham (Homelessness Prevention & Advice Team) and London Probation. Referrals are also accepted direct from prison, refugee councils, Crisis, Newham hospitals and other homelessness service providers. Caritas Anchor House also runs the Newham Assessment Hub which receives referrals via Newham Homelessness pathway/London Borough of Newham commissioned outreach services.
Referral procedure
For both the core and hub services, prospective residents are invited for an interview.
For the core service: They will require proof of identity, income and immigration status, and if accepted, will require £37.98 personal contribution for 2 weeks in advance (if in receipt of benefits).

Each resident who enters the Caritas Anchor House is allocated a key worker who will support them throughout their stay. Caritas Anchor House provides support and works with partner organisations to provide support in areas relating to: housing, mental health and wellbeing; substance abuse; education, training and employment; volunteering; financial management; and, independent living.
