Who do we help?

Young single people aged 16-24 who are homeless or at risk of homelessness and have low support needs. Priority given to those with a local connection to North Tyneside Council area. Target 50% women.

Accept referrals from a statutory authority to the Gateway only.

Support and accommodation

Support offered

4 full time and 3 part time staff members. Support available Mon-Thurs and Sun 9am-midnight, Fri and Sat 9am-1am. Sleep-in staff. Compulsory keywork system (2 residents per worker), weekly meetings. Support plans with agreed outcomes, reviewed at keywork sessions. Staff offer support around independent living skills, training and employment, and accessing specialist services.
