Young single homeless people under 25 and young people leaving care. Must have a local connection to Newcastle upon Tyne (6 months residency) unless escaping from domestic violence/harassment.

Who we cannot help

Schedule 1 offenders. People with high dependency drug issues.

How to get a referral

Referral agencies

All referrals must come via the Gateway.

Referral procedure

Complete referral on Gateway through Housing Advice Centre or other professionals eg social workers. Require background information (previous housing history, substance use, mental health and offending issues) and proof of ID.

Support offered

Staff available 24/7, waking night staff. key worker system (6 residents per key worker), with weekly meetings. Action plans with agreed outcomes, reviewed quarterly. Independent living skills programme. Support around education, training and employment, and other practical and emotional issues. Sports coaching and ICT suite.
