Who do we help?
Single homeless people with low support needs who are prepared to work for 40 hours a week as volunteers in Emmaus's social enterprises. Can accept ex-offenders. Must be clean from alcohol and drug issues. Local connection not required.

Accept referrals from any agency. Can accept self-referrals.
Referral procedure
Phone 0300 123 2001 Mon-Fri 9am-5pm. Application form available at https://www.emmaus.org.uk/lambeth. Interview. May require additional information if relevant eg Probation and social work reports, risk assessment. Client may be asked to spend some time volunteering in the Community prior to being offered a place.

Support offered
6 full time staff, 12 volunteers available on-site, 24 hour sleep-in cover. Responsible/lead tenant. Keywork system with monthly meetings. Action plans with agreed outcomes, reviewed quarterly. Staff provide advice and support around life skills, employment and training, benefits and budgeting. Emmaus UK offer training eg communication skills.
