Who is the project for?

Who do we help?

Single homeless men aged 18 and over with complex needs due to a chaotic lifestyle which could include a history of rough sleeping, alcohol and/or drug misuse, untreated medical and physical health needs, offending behaviours. Must be committed and show willingness to engage with external support services.

Who we cannot help

No automatic exclusions. Applications considered on a case by case basis.

How to get a referral

Referral agencies

Only accept referrals from The Gateway or internal planned moves in contract.

Referral procedure

Local authority referrals only. Application form completed before interview by applicant and referral agency. Risk assessment.

Support and accommodation


Support offered

13 full time staff with 24 hour waking cover. Keywork system with weekly meetings. Individual support plans with agreed outcomes, reviewed monthly. Staff provide support around independent living skills, drugs / alcohol, emotional / mental health, networks / relationships, physical health, use of time, resettlement and referrals to external support agencies / services.
