Who is the project for?

Who do we help?

Young single homeless people. Priority given to people with a local connection to High Peak area. Risk assessment conducted. Harsh weather provision.

Who we cannot help

People with a history of violence. Those under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time of referral or those who have an uncontrolled drug or alcohol problem. People unable to cope with the level of support offered by the project.

How to get a referral

Referral agencies

Accept referrals from any agency.

Referral procedure

Phone daily 12 noon-8pm for information, including details for self-referrals on how to get referred. Risk assessment. Referring agency must be with the young person and preferably be able to provide some form of transport to the host's home, if this is not possible High Peak will try to provide this.

Support and accommodation


Support offered

1 part time staff, plus volunteers. Keywork system provided by support volunteers, informal support provided by volunteer hosts. The project also provides food parcels.
