How to get a referral

Referral agencies

Accept self referrals and referrals from any agency. Many referrals come from Gateshead Homelessness, No Second Night Out, Young People's Service, Shelter, mental health service. All referrals have to go through the Gateshead Portal.

Referral procedure

Interview, needs and risk assessments. Require proof of ID and background information from agencies involved with the applicant. Police vettings.

Support offered

7 staff, 24 hour cover. Keywork system . Action plans with agreed outcomes . Staff help with independent living skills, budgeting, mental health and substance misuse issues, liaison with specialist agencies and help with establishing social contacts and activities.
