Who do we help?

Young single homeless people aged 16-25 with support needs around independent living. All applicants are encouraged to either undertake some type of training programme or be in employment. Must have local connection to City of Newcastle.

How to get a referral

Referral agencies

All referrals need to be made via Newcastle Gateway operated by Housing Advice Centre. Also from Social Services and local youth support agencies.

Support and accommodation


Support offered

24 full time staff, 24 hour waking cover. Keywork system (10 residents per key worker) with weekly meetings. Support plans with agreed outcomes reviewed quarterly. Staff offer support around independent living skills, accessing employment and training and liaising with specialist statutory and voluntary welfare agencies.
