Who do we help?

Young single homeless people aged 16-24 who have a low-medium support need. Most bed spaces require applicants to have a local connection to Bedford Borough, however we have a limited number of bed spaces for people who are out of area.

Who we cannot help

Schedule 1 offenders. Sex offenders. Needs too high. Recent history of arson.

How to get a referral

Referral agencies

Referrals can be received from any agency working with a person who requires accommodation. We also accept self-referrals.

Referral procedure

Contact Housing Advice or Supporting People via Bedford Borough Council on 01234 267422. Applicants can self refer by contacting 01234 307700. Police checks are carried out on all applicants.

Support and accommodation


Support offered

Residents are allocated a Housing Coach who will meet with them on a weekly or fortnightly basis to support them to acquire independent living skills, such as cooking and managing their income. 2 full time Housing Coaches, a Team Leader and Admin assistant are available Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm. An out of hours on call number is also provided.
