Who is the project for?

Who do we help?

Single homeless men who are ready for employment. Also have 3 rooms for families who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, women with children and women escaping domestic violence. Priority to applicants with a local connection to LB Newham.

Who we cannot help

Men with active alcohol or drug dependency problems.

How to get a referral

Referral agencies

Accept self referrals and referrals from any agency. Many referrals come from the Probation Service, local authority housing departments, Social Services and churches.

Referral procedure

Phone Mon-Fri 9am-5pm. Interview and a chance to look around the hostel, ask questions and see a list of conditions.

Support offered

5 staff and a volunteer. Keywork system with monthly meetings. Action plans with agreed outcomes, reviewed quarterly. Staff provide help with filling in forms and applications, money issues, legal problems and developing independent living skills. Can refer residents to other agencies. Regular programme of social and recreational activities.
