Who do we help?
Single homeless people with complex support needs aged 16-21. Priority given to those with local connection. Unless reough sleeping
Who we cannot help
People with a history of violence, or recent or serious arson. People with support needs which cannot be met by the project. People with drug problems who are not seeking help. May not accept some sex offenders.

How to get a referral
Referral agencies
Young people who want to access the service must complete a Mainstay assessment at one of the Mainstay assessment points. This is how people in Liverpool who are homeless or at risk of homelessness access support. More information here. The hostel also accepts direct referrals from Liverpool Social services for young people.
Referral procedure
There is an agency referral form or for self referrals a form can be completed at an assessment point, where staff will be available to assist you. Assessment Points for each day will be displayed via this website: mainstayliverpool.org.uk Agency Referrals forms can be sent direct to the MainStay Team.

Support and accommodation
Support offered
9 full time and 4 part time staff, 24 hour waking cover. key worker system with Outcomes Star support planning and assessment, reviewed monthly. Covers meaningful use of time, managing money, social networks and relationship, motivation and taking responsibility, physical health, emotional and mental health, drug and alcohol misuse, self care and living skills, managing tenancy and accommodation, offending.
