Single homeless men who have slept rough, including those with low level support needs around alcohol, drugs and/or mental health. 50% of beds reserved for LB Southwark, however residents do not require a local connection.

History of arson or violence. Needs too high.

How to get a referral

Referral agencies

Only accept referrals from street outreach teams (Street Rescue, SPOT etc) and LB Southwark's Housing Advice Service.

Referrals are received through the local authority which for David Barker House is Southwark Council or from the local outreach team.

Support and accommodation


Support offered

181 staff, 24 hour waking cover. Compulsory keywork system with regular meetings as required. Support plans with agreed outcomes, reviewed every 2-3 months. Staff provide advice and support around independent living skills. Employment Resource Centre and advisors from Salvation Army Employment Plus provide support with education, training and employment.
