Young adults aged 18–24 experiencing homelessness, instability or hardship with low to medium support needs. Priority may be given to applicants with a local connection to West Suffolk/East Cambridgeshire district, but this is not exclusive.

How to get a referral
Referral agencies
Accept self referrals and referrals from any agency. Many referrals come from East Cambridgeshire District Council, and the Probation Service. Also work with Suffolk HRS and West Suffolk Lettings Partnership.
Referral procedure
Phone daily 9am-5pm. Application form. Interview. Require proof of ID, references and background information.

Support and accommodation
Support offered
Newmarket Open Door provides supported accommodation for young adults aged 18–24 alongside practical and emotional support to help residents move towards greater independence and stability. Support includes: One-to-one support and key working,
independent living and budgeting support,
support with education, training and employment,
emotional wellbeing support, tenancy and resettlement support, signposting and partnership working with external agencies. In addition to supported accommodation, Newmarket Open Door also operates a Foodbank, and Charity Superstore supporting individuals and families across the local community.
