Who do we help?

Vulnerable young single homeless people aged 16-25 with low to medium support needs. Applicants must have a local connection to Braintree.

Who we cannot help

People with a history of serious violence, sexual offences, arson or drug dealing.

How to get a referral

Referral agencies

Only accept referrals from Braintree District Council. Do not accept self referrals or referrals from other agencies.

Referral procedure

Phone Mon-Thurs 9am-5.30pm, Fri, 9am-5pm for application form completed by applicant and referring agency. Interview. Need proof of ID and background information.

Support offered

5 full time staff available 8am-11pm, sleep-in cover. Keywork system (average 6 residents per key worker) with weekly meetings. Action plans with agreed outcomes reviewed as necessary. Staff help with independent living skills, including budgeting and debt, and accessing employment and training.
