How to get a referral

Referral agencies

Accept self referrals and referrals from probation, prison, substance misuse services, Futures home scape, Rethink, Adult Care, other agencies. - AVBC

Referral procedure

Self referral, local authority, probation, external agencies, housing associations. Referral accepted any time or day, Risk and needs assessment will be completed with applicant by Riverside staff, Proof of identification required, applicant will need to - Present at Chevin House, an assessment will be conducted by staff, background checks completed and if the individual meets the criteria they will be either offered accommodation if any bedspace or placed on our waiting list.

The hostel is 24hrs with no sleep ins, customer in dispersed houses can contact hostel staff any time, Intensive housing management only covering assistance with contacting benefits - support groups/agencies - NHS and signposting., 1 onsite manager, 2 Housing Officers, 2 Project assistants and concierges. Hostel is 24/7 rota staffed. Night concierges work an awake shift.
