Who is the project for?

Who do we help?

Single homeless people with medium to high support needs, including those with mental health issues, alcohol and/or drug dependencies. Priority to rough sleepers. Can accept people with dogs. Must have a local connection.

Who we cannot help

Applicants individually assessed but generally cannot accept people with a recent history of arson, violence and sexual offences.

Referral agencies

Hither Green is part of the Lewisham Move-On Pathway, which can be accessed via LB Lewisham SHIP Team (020 8314 3020), email: SHIP@lewisham.gov.uk

Referral procedure

Other agencies and self referrals can contact SHIP for a PUARF (Pathways Universal Assessment and Referral Form). Interview. Require risk assessment and relevant reports.

Support offered

17 full time and 1 part time staff, 24 hour waking cover. key workers provide advice and support around benefits, life skills, employment and training, move-on, substance misuse and mental health. Literacy tutor available twice weekly.
