How to get a referral

Referral agencies

Accept referrals approved by LB of Hackney only. All referral agents must go through the local Housing Option Team first.

Referral procedure

Phone 24 hours to enquire about referral process and vacancies. Form completed by agency and applicant. Interview and sent back to local Housing Options Team advisor for service. Require background information, relevant reports as appropriate eg psychiatric and probation reports, and proof of ID. Interview. All admissions initially to the assessment unit.

Support offered

16 full time staff and several volunteers, 24 hour waking cover. Compulsory monthly key worker meetings offering support on independent living skills, harm minimisation, employment and training, physical/mental health. Action plans with agreed outcomes, reviewed quarterly. Can refer to specialist support services. On-site activities, resettlement and Pathways to Employment workers.
