Who do we help?

Single homeless people with support needs, especially those with drug and alcohol issues. Prioritise applicants with a local connection to the Metropolitan Borough of Wirral.

Who we cannot help

People with a history of arson, sex offences, Schedule 1 offences and violence are usually excluded.

How to get a referral

Referral agencies

All referrals/self referrals must come via Wirral Mainstay.

Referral procedure

Agency completes referral form. Assessment interview when a vacancy becomes available.

Support and accommodation

Support offered

Staff available Mon-Fri 9am-9pm, Sat & Sun 10am-6pm, out of hours emergency on-call. key worker system. Provide support around daily living skills, budgeting, community participation and engaging with alcohol/drug treatment. General emotional support and counselling.
