How to get a referral

Referral agencies

Accept referrals from Local Authorities and Housing.

Referral procedure

Detailed referral with risk assessment (template available) in the first instance. If a potential suitable placement is identified, referee details are required, an interview with the young person will be carried out and then meet a greet with the potential host.

Support offered

These are placements with a host/s in their own family home. There is a host support worker and a young person support worker from Young Devon. Hours of support vary depending on the young person and financial arrangements. Minimum of 8.5 hours from the host per week and 5 hours from Young Devon.
