Comic Relief have launched a new funding opportunity for organisations working within the Youth Homelessness and Racial Justice sectors: A Place to Belong: Every Step of the Way.
The programme will invest in organisations that both support the immediate needs of young people at risk of or experiencing homelessness, as well as organisations working to challenge the systems and structures that create and maintain racial inequality in the housing and homelessness sectors.
There are two application pathways:
Service Delivery: For organisations providing holistic, wrap‑around support to young people aged 16–25 who are at risk of, or currently experiencing, homelessness. Funding is restricted to organisations working in specific regions- North West England, North East England, Yorkshire & Humber, West Midlands, East Midlands, South West England & East of England.
- £2.8 million is available in funding
- Funding is available for 3 to 5 years
- Core-flexible funding up to £200,000 per organisation
- The application deadline is 12 noon on Thursday, 30th April 2026.
Systemic Change: For organisations that have the ambition and experience to advance racial justice through influence and advocacy within the homelessness sector, by challenging the systems and structures that create and sustain racial inequalities. This is open to organisations working throughout the UK.
- £1 million is available in funding
- Funding is available for 3 to 7 years
- Core-flexible funding up to £450,000 per organisation
- The application deadline is 12 noon on Thursday, 30th April 2026.
