We're delighted to welcome Armed Forces Community HQ as a new member of Homeless Link!
We spoke to Tyler Morgan from the service to find out more about their work:
"The Armed Forces Community HQ CIC is a not-for-profit organisation that provides wrap around trauma-informed support for members of the armed forces community.
Our newest service offer, which commenced delivery in September 2023 is part of the Reducing Veteran Homelessness initiative , funded through the Armed Forces Covenant Trust Fund, provided in partnership with Jigsaw Homes and Wigan Council and called the "Homes at Ease" programme.
We are working hard to combat veteran homelessness across the Northwest of England, providing intensive outreach style, housing related support in the local communities of Cheshire, Liverpool City Region, Greater Manchester, and Lancashire. We want to provide homes not just houses. We believe that every veteran should receive the keys to their own front door as a basic human right.
We are committed to working collectively in partnership, to provide innovative homelessness solutions to people referred via the Op Fortitude National Helpline, via other agencies or as a direct / self-referral.
The support we provide through our programme builds upon the principles of Housing First. We provide client led, trauma informed, psychologically informed interventions, combined with direct access to a free Psychotherapy offer. The service is not time limited and is provided for as long as it is needed.
For more information, please contact the HQ team on 01942 821293 or email us at spoc@armedforceshq.org.uk or info@armedforceshq.org.uk."
