With a mission to ensure that everyone has access to safe, secure, and affordable housing, Home Connections provide solutions and services that combine innovation, technology and partnership working to empower housing providers to make a difference.
Home Connections started in 2001 with a vision to change the relationship between home seekers and housing authorities, pioneering a choice-based lettings pilot which allows people to have control over housing decisions. Since then, the social enterprise has expanded into delivering award-winning housing needs solutions, drawing on over two decades of expertise.
As part of Home Connections commitment to their mission, they run several key services:
- Homefinder UK: A national move-on service specialised in offering immediately available housing for those experiencing or at risk of homelessness, as well as holistic support such as access to training and employment opportunities, empowering individuals who often face significant challenges with cost of living and housing stability.
- StreetLink: This vital service, in collaboration with the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government, enables members of the public to connect people sleeping rough with local services that can support them. By working together, this service aims to reduce homelessness and provide essential assistance to those in need.
