We're delighted to welcome Safer off the Streets Peterborough as a new member of Homeless Link!

Safer off the Streets Peterborough is a multi-agency partnership made up of statutory, clinical, charitable, religious and community partner organisations, collaborating to improve the lives of people who are experiencing street homelessness in the city.

We spoke to chair of the charity, Anna Lee, to find out more about their work:

“We aim to strengthen relationships between partners and encourage increased collaboration opportunities, whilst providing supportive services to them. Ultimately our aim is to help our partners to be more effective as they directly deliver their services to those who are homeless or are sleeping rough.

We facilitate quarterly in person partnership meetings encouraging partners to share updates and plans along with debating local challenging related topics. We support and scrutinize the local city homelessness strategy, seek out best practice to share and provide a range of learning opportunities on topics that are important to our partners. We also conduct research with those with lived experience, to develop innovative service improvements. We conduct some limited fundraising, grants are made to partners to enhance their current provision. We have a helpful website that provides guidance along with conducting local awareness campaigns.”
