We're delighted to welcome YMCA Humber as a new member of Homeless Link!
YMCA Humber is an independent homelessness charity and part of the wider federation of YMCAs, the oldest and largest youth charity in the world. Their mission is to provide a safe environment where people can belong, contribute and thrive.
YMCA Humber provides supported accommodation in North East Lincolnshire for single homeless people aged 16+, for parents and babies, and a small number of families. Their support equips residents with the skills needed to manage their own tenancy when they move on to independent living. This support also includes assistance from their own mental health and wellbeing team, making the support truly person centred.
YMCA Humber also has a community café and conferencing facilities, which provides opportunities for residents to volunteer, gain valuable work experience and qualifications. They run a thriving youth club, parent and baby groups, Dads Collective, and provide warm space facilities and community wellbeing sessions for local residents.
